This is the first full size painting of 2012 and one I have been meaning to paint for some time. This painting differs from many in that the initial yellow wash was graded light to dark top to bottom. The pure cobalt blue that makes up the second wash changes colour as a consquence giving the whole painting a real sense of distance.
